Stanley “Stosh” P. Wysowaty, 87, of Toledo, OH, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo after a long courageous battle from cancer. Born October 1, 1930, in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Matthew “Michael” and Helen (Kaczmarek) Wysowaty. A 1949 graduate of Woodward High School, he then served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War. He married Alice Besase and she preceded him in death on December 16, 1988. Stanley was employed by the Chrysler Corporation (Jeep) for 30 years, retiring in 1989. Prior, he owned and operated the former Stan & Romey’s Garage in Toledo. He was a member of the U.A.W, Local 12. Stosh loved life and enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, but most of all spending time with his family. He was a friend to all that knew him and will be remembered for his contagious laugh.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Angie Lykins; grandchildren, Lisa (Jason) Lykins-Spangler and Daryl “Little D” Lykins; great grandchildren, Ethan and Brody; former wife and dear friend, JoAnn Friend; stepdaughter, Kim (John) Faher. Stanley was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Romey, Floyd and William and stepchildren, Cliff, Debbie and Susie.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at St. Clement Catholic Church, 3030 Tremainsville Road, Toledo, Ohio, where he will lie in state after 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Toledo, OH. A special thank you for the compassionate and loving care from the wonderful nurses at The Hickman Center at Flower Hospital which was provided to Stan over the past 15 years. The family also wishes to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio, special friends and family for the help and support during Stan’s illness.
